The recruitment is part of the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP) which is designed to offer opportunity for graduates to acquire and develop valuable technical and professional skills and work experience.

The latest recruitment is the fifth cohort under the PSIP for the 2022-2023 financial year.

The duration of the internship period is 12 months non renewable.

"The interns will be paid a stipend at a rate as determined by the Public Service Commission," PSC chief executive officer Simon Rotich said in a statement on Tuesday.

Eligible applicants must be holders of a Bachelors degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

They must have graduated not earlier than 2017 and must be proficient in computer skills.

The application deadline is August 9, 2022.

Applications must be done online via www.publicservice.go.ke or www.psckjobs.go.ke.

Successful applicants will be expected to complete duties assigned to them by their supervisors during the internship period.

They will also be expected to document the skills acquired in their area of deployment and participate in relevant mentorship activities and any additional activities designed for the programme.

"On successful completion of the internship programme, the interns will be awarded certificates," Rotich said.
