Deputy President William Ruto and Kenya Kwanza leaders held a series of rallies at different markets in Bahati Constituency, Nakuru.
During the rallies, he urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to step aside and let ODM leader Raila Odinga battle for presidency on his own.
"I urge the president because I helped him in 2013 and 2017 to clinch the presidency, he should leave me to square it out with Odinga. I have accepted he is not ready to support me but I kindly ask the president to let me together with the people defeat Kitendawili without helping him," Ruto said.
The UDA leader promised that if he wins the presidential seat, he will create employment for youths and create a special fund of Sh100 billion to cater for the same.
Alongside the DP were Kenya Kwanza leaders, Musalia Mudavadi (ANC)and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya).
Also present were MPs Kimani Ngunjiri (Bahati), Susan Kihika (Nakuru), Lizah Chelule (Nakuru),Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira), Faith Gitau (Nyandarua), Kimani Ichungwa(Kikuyu), Kithure Kindiki (Tharaka Nithi) and Samuel Gachobe (Subukia).
