Kenya on Monday recorded 218 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
These are from a sample size of 2, 577, representing a positivity rate of 8.5 per cent.
From these cases, 206 are Kenyans while 12 are foreigners, with 117 being males and 101 being females.
Age-wise, the youngest is a seven-month-old baby while the oldest is 85 years old.
This now brings the total number of positive cases to 179,293, and the cumulative tests so far conducted are 1,907,096.
In terms of recovery, 261 patients have recovered from the disease, with 167 from home-based and isolation care while 94 are from various health facilities.
The total number of recoveries in the country stands at 122,965, with 89,132 from home-based and isolation care while 33,833 are from various health facilities.
However, the country has lost five patients to the disease, one of them having occurred in the last 24 hours, while four are late deaths reported after conducting facility record audits on diverse dates in the months of April and June.
This now brings the total number of fatalities to 3,461.

103 patients are in ICU, 33 of whom are on ventilatory support and 51 on supplemental oxygen. 19 patients are on observation.
Another 118 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen with 108 of them in general wards and 10 are in the High Dependency Unit.

Of these, the total first doses are 995,570 while the second doses are 192,093.
The uptake of the second dose among those who received their first dose is at 19.3 per cent with the majority being males at 56 per cent while females are at 44 per cent.
The proportion of adults fully vaccinated is at 0.74 per cent.
The uptake of the second dose by Priority Groups is as follows: health workers 52,830, aged 58 years and above are 52,041, others category are 51,463, teachers are 22,189 while security officers are at 14,020.
In terms of distribution of positive cases per county , Nairobi leads with 119, Siaya 26, Kisii 20, Uasin Gishu 15 and Homa Bay has 10 cases.
Nakuru six, Kajiado and Kakamega four each, Makueni and Nyandarua have two cases each, while Migori, Mombasa, Nandi, Vihiga, Bomet, Kericho, Kiambu, Kisumu, Laikipia and Machakos have one case each.
