On renewal of contracts of Healthcare workers, Nyong'o said the Ministry of Health has granted authority for renewal of contracts of all the Healthcare workers who were engaged in the management of Covid-19 across the 47 Counties.

There contracts have been renewed for another six months commencing April to September, 2021.

Further, the Ministry is working closely with County Governments to ensure that healthcare workers who terminated their contracts are replaced immediately to ensure that service delivery is not affected.

The two levels of Government are in discussion to see if the contracts of the health workers still in service can be extended for one year.
