4 more virus deaths as Kenya's Covid-19 cases rise to 737

Of the new cases, 10 are from Nairobi, eight from Mombasa, three from Kajiado.

Kenya on Wednesday recorded 22 new cases of Covid-19, raising the country's total number to 737, Health CAS Rashid Aman has said.

This is out of the 1,516 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours.

The government has now tested a total of 35, 432 samples.

The CAS announced four more deaths from the disease, three from Nairobi and one from Mombasa.

 
 

This now brings to 40 the number of those who have died from Covid-19.

The new patients are aged between 20 years, and 81 years.     

Of the new cases, 10 are from Nairobi, eight from Mombasa, three from Kajiado and one from Bomet.

The latest Bomet case now brings to 20 the number of counties affected by the coronavirus.

The cases in Nairobi are distributed among the following estates; Embakasi (4), Kamukunji (3), Kibra (2) and KNH (1).

In Mombasa, seven of the cases are from Mvita while one is from Nyali.

The CAS announced 22 more patients have been discharged, bringing Kenya's total recoveries to 281.

Of the new cases, 17 are male and five are female.

21 out of the new patients are Kenyans while one is a Ugandan national.
