Kenyan High Commissioner to the UK, Manoah Esipisu, on Tuesday, presented his credentials to the Queen.
The former State House spokesperson was nominated to the position by President Uhuru Kenyatta in July last year.
The Royal family on Twitter said, “Today The Queen received His Excellency Mr Manoah Esipisu, High Commissioner for the Republic of Kenya in London”.
Esipisu said, “I presented my letters of credence, by which President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed me High Commissioner to the UK, to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. I thanked the Queen for her enduring friendship with Kenya”.

Esipisu last year promised to advance Kenya’s economic interests with her former colony.
Esipisu who served as Uhuru’s spokesperson since 2013 said, “I propose to take up, right away, the matter of economic diplomacy, which will be profitable to us.”
