Prior to the launch of the android app, users placed bets via short text message to 79079 or online at www.sportpesa.com. For successful bets, users get cash directly on their mobile phone or via a cheque for larger amounts.
"The betslip, works the same way as in the website. It can be accessed from the ‘Betslip’ label which shows up when you make any pick on the app," said Sportpesa in a press statement on Friday.
The new app is expected to further boost data revenue for mobile phone service providers.
