Interior PS Karanja Kibichu has described Siaya county as a “hotbed of politics” and directed administrators to deal decisively with anyone determined to cause chaos.
He said they have reports some national administrators in the region have abdicated their responsibilities and are now in bed with politicians who want to cause trouble.
Kibicho warned those culpable that they will face the wrath of his office, saying they are not supposed to take a political stand. “I expect nothing from you other than work,” he told provincial administrators. Kibicho was speaking on Thursday at Ramba Catholic Church, Siaya town, where he addressed county security chiefs.
The PS asked security county organs to flush out youth who operate in the guise of protecting politicians, but are a security threat.
