The case against two men arrested with four bottles of suspected human blood on Tuesday last week has been dismissed.
This is after the government analysts confirmed the blood was not human, but chicken blood, a Mombasa court heard.
Andronicus Kyuvi and Vincent Onyango were also found with paraphernalia used in witchcraft and ivory-like items.
They were to be charged with having articles used in witchcraft.
State counsel Eugene Wangila told the court the investigative officer in-charge of the case, Charles Mwai, asked for the case to be closd as a report from the government analysts confirmed that the blood was chicken’s.
Earlier, Wangila had asked the court for four days to enable Mwai to complete the investigation.
The case was dismissed by chief magistrate Maxwell Gicheru.
