PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta should not be blamed for financial constraints facing county governments, Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong said yesterday.

Launching the foot-and-mouth disease vaccination campaign at Akiriamas Primary School, Teso South subcounty, Ojaamong said governors now have enough funds.

“The national government has played its part by remitting enough funds to the counties,” he said.

“We have absolutely no problem with the Uhuru administration now.”

He said it is now up to the county government to implement development projects that are still pending.

Ojaamong said most projects should be done by February, including Sh10million ward initiatives.

He said the projects had been stalled by delayed funding from the Treasury.
