
President William Ruto met with International Finance Corporation (IFC) Managing Director Mukhtar Diop on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.
The IFC is the private arm of the World Bank Group.

Ruto also held discussions with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva on critical economic areas, including infrastructure development, job creation, and poverty reduction strategies.
Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi accompanied him.


The talks centered on ways to strengthen the collaboration between Kenya and the IFC to drive sustainable economic growth and attract more foreign investments.
During the meeting with the IMF Managing Director, Ruto emphasised Kenya's dedication to implementing sound economic policies and reforms to enhance macroeconomic stability and resilience.
Ruto expressed gratitude for the support and technical assistance provided by the IFC and IMF to Kenya.
He highlighted the government's efforts to improve governance, transparency, and accountability in public financial management.
