Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, currently on a tour of the United States, made a stop in Silicon Valley, where he visited leading global tech giants, including Meta and Google.
Sharing photos from the tour on his social media platforms on Saturday, Gachagua pictured himself writing the “Wantam” phrase on the Facebook Wall.
The phrase has been used by the opposition in their spirited attempt to show their commitment to oust President William Ruto in the 2027 elections.
Ruto, who, however, commands a significant following, has in the past rubbished the phrase with his supporters pushing for the "Tutam" phrase to mean they will give Ruto a second term in the 2027 General Elections.
Gachagua, in his tour, emphasised that the world is now a global tech hub and that Kenya must not be left behind in embracing groundbreaking ideas and innovations.

"I spent quality time at Google before taking a memorable ride in an AI-driven Jaguar limousine. My visit to Meta company, the home of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads, was fascinating and breathtaking," he said.

"I must say I have a pretty good idea where to look for skills mix and our Kenyan GenZs who are brilliant and tech-savvy when recruiting personnel to help us back home in the 6th Administration come 2027," he posed.
