President William Ruto has received the report on the recruitment of nominees for the positions of Chairperson and Members of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) from the IEBC Selection Panel at State House, Nairobi.
The President will now nominate one person for chair and six for commissioner and send names to parliament for vetting.
The IEBC selection panel concluded its interviews on April 26, following a month-long vetting exercise.
A total of 11 candidates were interviewed for the chairperson role, including former Judiciary Chief Registrar Anne Amadi and former Commission for the Implementation of the Constitution Chairperson Charles Nyachae.
