The protesters who congregated at Kondele from 9 am peacefully protested towards the Jomo Kenyatta Sports Grounds, currently renamed Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Grounds where they addressed the press on their grievances.

Police officers were strategically deployed but kept off the streets to avoid confrontation with the protesters.
