President William Ruto on Thursday led a delegation of leaders to Kericho County where he launched several development projects.
Ruto laid the foundation stone for the construction of the Talai Affordable Housing Project in Kericho.
"We are eliminating slums, creating jobs for our youth and making more land available for agriculture through the Affordable Housing Project that we are implementing," the President said.
He also launched the Chesinendet Fresh Produce Market in Kipkelion East.
Ruto said the market will offer safe and decent space to more than 2,000 traders in Chepseon.
The Head of State also officially opened the Belgut Technical Training Institute and Belgut TTI Digital Hub in Kericho County.
The president said that the project is meant to empower the youths in the county with in-demand skills in IT.
The hub, according to Ruto will encourage innovation and entrepreneurship among the county's youth.
"Empowering our youth with contemporary, in-demand skills not only boosts their competitiveness in the job market but also enhances their capacity for innovation and entrepreneurship," the president said.
