Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Thursday met leaders from Tana River county for a follow up meeting on the El Nino situation.
The meeting comes after the DP visited the county on Monday, where together with leaders from the area they assessed the situation and provided humanitarian support.
The leaders were; Senator Danson Mungatana, Woman Representative Amina Dika, MPs Ali Wario Guyo (Garsen), Hiribae Buya (Galole) and Yakub Dubow Kuno of Bura.
The support included food, mosquito nets and medicine, which the Government continues to supply.
Gachagua said the meeting was a consultative one.
"Consultative leadership is the modus operandi of the Ruto Administration," the DP said.
"We are firming up more immediate action as we also work to restore normalcy and lasting solutions."
