Grevy Zebra Trust is working to ensure that endangered Grevy Zebras at Buffalo Springs, Samburu Springs National Reserve, and Shaba National Reserve survive the drought.
A visit to the Reserve by the Star established that more than 70 zebras have died due to the impacts of the drought.
The Grevy Zebra Trust said they distribute 3,000 bales of hay per week to feed the endangered species.
The trust has also resulted in giving them water and medication in a bid to control the impacts of drought.
The Reserve lies south of the Samburu National Reserve.
Other wildlife living in the Reserve include the African bush elephants, reticulated giraffes, African buffaloes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, oryx, gerenuks and hyenas.
There are also 365 bird species and Somali ostriches.
