The nine foreign hospitals SHA has contracted for Kenyans

The King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

CEO Dr Mercy Mwangangi said the list will continue to grow. She said the facilities were selected after rigorous due diligence involving regulators, Kenyan missions abroad and the hospitals themselves.

However, she clarified that the list is not closed. “The contracting process is continuous; any provider who meets the requirements can apply and be onboarded,” she said. She noted that SHA has deliberately kept the process open to expand options for patients over time.
