Police said Frank Atero Indiakha had visible injuries in the leg with a
fracture in the femur after the attack.
The motive of the attack was not immediately known but police said the
deceased had mentioned those behind the same before he succumbed in his house.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and investigation.
The hunt for the three men that the deceased mentioned as his attackers
is ongoing, police said.
Such fatal assault incidents have been on the rise in the area amid efforts to solve them, police said.
In Mlango Kubwa area, Nairobi, one Ian Maina, 38 died after he was hit in the
head while fighting with another man, police said of the September 26, 2025
incident.
The two were fighting after one of them accused the other of stealing his
mobile phone.
The assailant hit the deceased in the neck flooring him. He was rushed to
the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries, police said.
The suspect was rescued by police from a mob that was stoning him after
learning of the death of Maina.
The body is lying in a mortuary pending an autopsy, police said.
In Lumakanda, Kakamega County, police detained a man after he took his
girlfriend to a hospital where she died.
The man told police the deceased Valentine Shimbweche, 23 died after
falling sick.
Police detained the man pending investigations and including an autopsy
on the body of the woman.
Police said they want to understand the circumstances under which the
woman died.
Meanwhile, a minor was killed in an accident along Rodi Kopany-Ndhiwa
Road in Homabay County.
Police said the female minor, aged five, was a pedestrian when the accident happened on Friday afternoon.
This was after a salon car veered off the road and hit her.
Police said the minor was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival. The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.
