Raila set to tour Vihiga to stifle Ruto's gains

According to Governor Wilber Ottichilo all preparation in place to welcome Odinga and his team

Azimio la Umoja presidential aspirant Raila Odinga is set to tour Vihiga county to seek support for his bid after Kenya Kwanza team camp in the area last week.

Rail​​a ​is ​set to do several campaigns to water down Kenya Kwanza's gains.

According to Governor Wilber Ottichilo all preparation in place to welcome Odinga and his team.

"We have set everything in place to ensure when baba comes he will do rallies across the county," Ottichilo said.

Wilberforce Kitiezo, who has been picked to deputise Ottichilo said those who think Raila has lost in vihiga are misplaced.

"We are going to do serious campaigns across Vihiga to ensure baba gets more votes than Kenya kwanza alliance," Kitiezo said.

The two were speaking during the ODM aspirant meeting in Vihiga.

Odinga is set to mount a two day campaign to urge vihiga residents to support him ahead of August 9 polls.

During his tour Deputy President William Ruto said bottom up economic model is the best option to rescue the poor in Kenya.

"This bottom up economic model will enable us to reach​​ those who are struggling with poverty," Ruto said while at PAG headquarters church in Nyang'ori.
