The frequent nurses’ strikes in Tharaka Nithi are politically instigated by some leaders, Deputy Governor Mati Murithi has said.

He said some prominent leaders incite medical workers to go on strike to paint the county in bad light.

He spoke yesterday during an interview with Meru FM.

“How can nurses go on strike demanding their previous month’s salary on 5th and yet all other workers including the governor have not been paid. There is a ploy by some leaders who use officials of Kenya National Union Nurse officials to sabotage the county government.
