Some Nyamira MCAs and residents have pledged to work with Governor Amos Nyaribo new cabinet to prosper the county.
The leaders said the governor’s choice means he has confidence on the people who will help him deliver services to the people.
Nyaribo named his cabinet last week and the nominees are set for vetting by the county assembly.
Rigoma MCA Nyambega Gisesa said he has no doubt the new team nominated by the county boss will deliver.
He urged MCAs ands residents to support Nyaribo's team to ensure service are delivered to the electorate.
“I do not think there are questions about the CeC’s that have been nominated by the governor. All we need is services and we are convinced the governor identified the best professionals to deliver,” Gisesa said in an interview on Sunday.
Nominated MCA Doris Nyamanga said the county residents are only interested in better services and they are satisfied with whoever will be given an opportunity to serve them.
In this era, it is not about awarding who did what during the campaigns. Elections were concluded a long time ago and now is the time to focus on development and empowering our people,” Nyamanga said.
Some residents pledged to fully support the governor’s cabinet as long as services are delivered to their satisfaction.
"We have seen some leaders criticising Governor Nyaribo’s cabinet but we are interested in what the team will do," Apoko Ongechi, a resident said.
"We want good roads, clean water, markets, ECDE classes and improved farming system. We do not have time for unnecessary wrangles."
He urged Nyaribo to ignore critics who are against his nominees.
Last week residents of Nyamaiya ward protested against the CeC nominees, saying Nyaribo never gave them a slot in his cabinet yet the voted for him in large numbers.
