Malkia Strikers left-attacker Noel Murambi has said the opportunity to guide Kenya Pipeline's evolution and win trophies was hard to turn down chance forcing her to return 'home'.

The former Kenya Commercial Bank captain has returned to the Oil Merchants three years after decamping the team.

She joined KCB in 2018 after playing for Pipeline between 2010 to 2018. She subsequently won three consecutive league titles in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

"I couldn't imagine myself in another team other than Pipeline because it is where I honed my skills as a young player," said the 32-year-old Murambi who guided KCB to a second-place finish last season.

"I am now a better player than when I left. I have amassed enough experience to lead this young team that is slowly becoming a force to reckon with in the league. I won a lot of trophies with Pipeline and I am hungrier for more titles"

Violet Makuto has also rejoined Pipeline alongside fast-rising and hard-hitting left attacker  Veronica Adhiambo and middle blocker Caroline Sirengo. Adhiambo and Sirengo join the former champions from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

Pipeline coach Paul Gitau had hinted at the end of last season that he will strengthen his team with more accomplished players to help the team fight for the title in the 2021/22 season.

Pipeline boast of some exciting and talented players including Pamela Adhiambo and Gladys Ekaru who made the Malkia Strikers' squad to the just concluded Tokyo Olympic Games.

Setter Esther Mutinda is becoming a household name after starring at the African Cup of Nations in Rwanda while Yvonne Sinaida has what it takes to become a world-beater.  "We can surely achieve something great as a unit and I can't wait to get started, "Murambi noted.
