Dr Henry Chakava celebrated his 70th birthday in style as the East African Educational Publishers launched the book “Coming of Age: Strides in African Publishing” at the Royal Orchid Azure on Thursday evening.
The book is a collection of essays from different authors in honour of Dr Chakava, the EAEP chairman.
After the speeches of appreciation from authors including John Kiriamiti (My Life in Crime), Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi walked
in just in time to give his remarks before an elaborate cake cutting ceremony.
In attendance also was Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi and Public Service Commision chairperson Prof Margaret Kobia.
