University of Nairobi Terrorists hijacked Umoja 72-55 in a Kenya National Basketball League tie at Nyayo Stadium gymnasium on Sunday.

The campus lads, despite being down 25-24 at the breather, picked up well in the last two quarters to carry the day.

Niva Morgan tallied 24 points, Bior Aguero hit 12 and Agulet Malak added 11 for UoN.

“Yesterday (Saturday) we had a bad loss against Thunder despite having a good first half. But against a physical Umoja, I thought the boys did well,” said UoN coach Eugene Genga.

Meanwhile, Judith Pantaleo made 24 points as United States International University (USIU) Flames torched Kenyatta University Oryx 90-26.

Storms ravaged Eldonets 85-42 as Barbra Diana registered 20 points and Sophie Reena shot 15. Sharon Maseh provided 11 for the visitors.

On Saturday, Nairobi City Thunder clobered UoN 88-56. They led 35-29 at the break, overpowering the students in the last half.

Ariel Okal came off the bench and tallied 14 points, Garang Dong scored 11 and Dismas Onsongo added 10. UoN had 11 from Niva Morgan.

Ulinzi Warriors had 17 points from Brian Nzioka and 13 from Byron Wasilwa and 12 from Joshua Okumu in a 76-41 win over Umoja. Tony Okol led ‘Umo’ with 13.

Absa beat USIU 78-65 with Jeff Odhiambo and Collins Odhiambo each connected for 18 points. USIU’s Antony Eric shot 12 and Kuol Deng had 11.

UoN Dynamites lost 46-35 to the visiting Eldonets. Sheila Cherotich scored 14 and Sheila Mwikali 10 for the winners while UoN had 16 from Jane Kemunto.
