Kenya's Bunge FC on Tuesday took on their Ugandan counterparts in a soccer match in the ongoing EAC inter-parliamentary games in Juba, South Sudan.

National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang'ula congratulated the team for a stellar performance in the clash even though Kenya lost.

"Team Bunge FC, you should be proud of yourself! It was an exciting football game, the best team carried the day, kudos team Uganda," he said.

"It's time to get ready for the upcoming games now," he added.

In a previous game against Tanzania on Sunday, Kenya emerged victorious with a 3-1 triumph in their second game of the competition.

Meanwhile, Uganda defeated Rwanda by three sets to nil in the men's volleyball. 

The volley games were being played Tuesday night due to the hot weather conditions during day.
