UDA, ANC and Chama Cha Kazi have halved nomination fees for female and youth aspirants as they prepare for party primaries ahead of polls.
Deputy President William Ruto’s UDA and Gatundu South Moses Kuria’s CCK have waived nomination fees for persons with disabilities.
The charges apply to those eying any of the six elective positions of president, governor, senator, MP, woman rep and MCA.
ANC however charges persons with disabilities a uniform Sh25,000 except for the ward seat where aspirants will part with Sh10,000.
ANC has not invited applications for aspirants wanting to contest for the presidency on Amani ticket.
According to the electoral body, political parties have until May 26, to have conducted their nominations and submitted a list of names to the agency.
ANC aspirants were asked to send their applications not later than February 18 while those of UDA and CCK have until February 28 and March 1 respectively.
“Chama Cha Kazi invites all interested and qualified aspirants to submit their application for nomination on or before March 1,” CCK said in a notice on Wednesday.
Male aspirants eying the presidency on UDA and CCK tickets will part with Sh1 million while women and youth contesting for the same seat will pay Sh500,000.
Male UDA and CCK governor aspirants will pay Sh500,000 while women and youth eying the same seat will pay Sh250,000.
ANC will charge a slightly lower fee for male aspirants eyeing the governor seat, at Sh300,000. Women and youth will part with Sh150,000.
UDA and CCK male hopefuls for the senate seat will pay Sh250,00, while women and youth are required to pay Sh125,000.
ANC male senate aspirants will pay Sh200,000 while women and youth will give Sh100,00.
Male aspirants seeking nomination to run for MP on CCK ticket will pay Sh200,000 while women aspirants will part with Sh120,000.
Aspirants seeking nomination to contest for the position of Member of County Assembly will pay Sh40,000 and Sh20,000 for male and female aspirants respectively.
To be nominated for the UDA senator position, men will be charged Sh250,000 while women and youth will part with Sh125,000.
For the woman representative seat nomination, UDA aspirants will be charged Sh250,000 while the youth will be required to fork out Sh125,000.
UDA MP seat nominations will see aspirants charged Sh250,000 for men and Sh125,000 for women and youth.
Hopefuls seeking to participate in the UDA nomination process for the Member of County Assembly positions will be charged Sh50,000 and Sh25,000 for male and female respectively.
ANC woman rep aspirants will part with Sh150,000 while those contesting for MP will pay Sh150,000 and Sh75,000 for male and female respectively.
Male MCA aspirants will pay Sh25,000 while their female counterparts will fork out Sh15,000.
