Citizen TV's Lilian Muli has denied claims she is dating tycoon Jimmy Ngechu.
On Sunday, an excited Lillian Muli shared on her Instagram stories a video showing a tattooed man's arm during a weekend road trip to Naivasha.
After a few comparisons on social media, netizens linked the arm to Jimmy Ngechus, the man who also trended in November last year for gifting Diana Marua an expensive iPhone on her birthday.
Speaking to Word Is, the mother of two said they were in a party which had many celebrities.
"Those are rumours and he is a friend and there is no relationship. Kina Bahati's, Gabu and other celebrities plus all those people I'm linked to, we were all at the same party. That's a respectable man who has his family."
Lilian asked social media people and blogs to stop reporting stories they aren't sure about.
"We are not in a relationship with everyone we take pictures with," she said.
"I'm a social person and I like making new friends everywhere I go. Please don't speculate about who is my boyfriend and who is not, it hurts innocent people, especially those who love the people you claim are in relationships that don't exist."
Lilian also spoke about her recent love life, saying she is happy.
"I am happier than I have ever been. I am in a good place and trust me, I would never post a picture of my man."
Asked if fake stories affect her social life and whether she is afraid of posting pics of men on her social media, Lilian said people should respect other people's social media space.
"Try not to see things that only exist in your mind," she said.
"I don't think it's fair to pair people up unless they have openly said they are together."
Muli had been married for years by Moses Kanene but later divorced. She later got into a relationship with Shabana boss Jared Nevaton. She has a child each from both relationships.
