  • For those who are still in denial about the existence of the virus, please listen to science.
  • Bullheaded obduracy is a recipe for tragedy. The vaccine saves lives.
Unlike previous years, Machakos Bus Terminus is short of business as most city dwellers face tough economic times amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

The year has come to an end but Covid-19 is still with us. In fact, Omicron, the new variant, spreads super fast although experts report it is not as lethal as the Delta variant.

In Parliament out of 10 people (both staff and MPs) tested, eight turned out positive for Covid, forcing just about everyone to work from home.

Across the border in Uganda, there are credible reports that at least 50 MPs have tested positive.

If these numbers are anything to go by, then we are not out of the woods yet, even though millions have been vaccinated.

It is for this reason that all Kenyans – the vaccinated and those yet to get the jab – should not lower their guards this Christmas.

Even as you enjoy yourself and celebrate with family and friends, remember to wear your mask, sanitise your hands and observe social distance.

For those who are still in denial about the existence of the virus, please listen to science. Bullheaded obduracy is a recipe for tragedy. The vaccine saves lives.

It might not stop you from getting infected or even infecting others, but it sure gives you some wall of protection against the virus.

Remember, as you celebrate, it is your duty to stay safe and keep your loved ones safe so that you get to celebrate many more happy moments.

Quote of the Day: “Stand fast through the storms of life.”
