A man has been charged with masquerading as a journalist and stealing

a gift pack containing tea leaves from Nairobi's

Intercontinental Hotel.

David Ojiambo allegedly stole

a bag containing a packet of Jani Green tea leaves and two of Ketepa, valued at Sh4,500, from

John Karanu.

Ojiambo admitted that he attended a function at the hotel on Tuesday but said he did not steal anything.

He

told the court that he took the bag by mistake

Milimani principal magistrate charity Oluoch released him on Sh3,000 cash bail.

The case will be mentioned on December 27.
