Police pursue man suspected of defiling daughter in Makueni

Police in Makueni are looking for a man suspected of defiling his nine-year-old daughter.

An assistant chief said the victim received medication after she was allegedly defiled by the father.

The assistant chief said the incident had been reported and officers had launched investigations into the incident and a manhunt for the suspect.

He said the suspect allegedly fled the scene immediately.

"The father comes home once in a while. We aren't able to apprehend him. But, he is being sought after by the officers," the assistant chief said.

"On the fateful day, he came and took the girl and her brothers from their grandmother's house before committing the act. The minor and her grandmother have already recorded their statements and investigations are underway."
