Kung'u spoke on Monday during an interview at Muoroto FM.
He said Raila has never impressed the people from Mt Kenya and should not expect much support despite the current political hype.
The younger brother to Senator Beth Mugo recently endorsed Ruto and argued elder not to forget the "yangu kumi ya Ruto Kumi" promise Uhuru made.
He said the hustler narrative propagated by Ruto has been working well for him and is convincing voters to support his presidential bid.
“You can’t compare Ruto and Raila at any level, Uhuru already helped Ruto to penetrate the heart of the Mt Kenya people unlike Raila who is being given politicians who aren’t sure of defending their seats,” Kung'u said.
He claimed Uhuru and Ruto’s unity collapsed after people close to the President, led by Jubilee vice chairperson David Murathe, started disowning the pact immediately after the 2017 elections.
He said Raila is trying to take the advantage of the handshake between him and Uhuru.
He further accused Raila of plotting Ruto’s downfall by linking him to several corruption scandals.
“Both Raila and Ruto’s camp have individuals who have been implicated in the various crimes and Azimio should stop portraying themselves as saints," he said.
He expressed optimism that Uhuru will shield the country from going back to the 2007-08 post-election.
He said the last conversation he held with Uhuru was clear and he (Uhuru) vowed to hand over power to whoever will win.
He said the President loves the country and soon he (Uhuru) is expected to traverse the Mt Kenya region thanking his supporters for electing him.
About a week ago, Wachira Wa Kiago, the chairman of the Kikuyu Council of Elders took issue with Kung’u whom he termed an imposter of the council.
Wachira said it’s an insult for Kung'u to go against the President and support Ruto.
He said Kung'u has no power to speak on behalf of the community and their political direction.
Wachira was reacting after Kung’u led elders in a meeting with Ruto, where they pledged to support his presidential bid.
Before joining Ruto’s camp, Kung'u had earlier endorsed National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi as the suitable successor of Uhuru.
Muturi has since endorsed Ruto's presidential bid.
