The poll shows Wamatangi is the most popular candidate with 25.9 per cent of the respondents backing him.
He is followed by former governor William Kabogo who bagged 19.7 per cent of those polled.
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is third with 14.3 percent. Kuria is vying on his Chama Cha Kazi party ticket.
Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina, popularly known as Jungle is fourth with 11.6 per cent. He is vying as an independent candidate after losing UDA nominations.
Incumbent governor James Nyoro, vying on the Jubilee ticket, is fifth with 11.6 percent.
Mwende Gatabaki of Safina is sixth with 4.1 percent.
6.1 percent of those polled said they are yet to decide. Another 6.1 percent said they will not vote.
The polls were conducted between May 4 and 8 using SMS-based interviews.
In the Senatorial race, the poll puts Karungo wa Thang’wa of UDA ahead of the pack. He is leading with 51.5 percent.
George Maara of Jubilee is second with 8.2 per cent followed by former Kiambu speaker Gathii Irungu with 7.5 per cent.
Machel Waikenda is fourth with 4.5 per cent. 3.7 percent fall under others.
19.4 percent of those polled said they were undecided while 5.2 percent said they will not vote.
In the Woman Representative seat, UDA candidate Ann Wamuratha is leading with 46.7 per cent. She is followed by Lennah Koinange of Jubilee with 17.8 percent.
The third is Mercy Nungari with 7.5 per cent, Loise Kim 2.8 per cent while others have 3.7 per cent.
15.9 per cent are undecided while 5.6 per cent said they will not vote.
