This event also marked the launch of their
Sustainability Report, a comprehensive document reaffirming the
organisation’s commitment to environmental stewardship, climate action, and
community well-being.
With a strategic focus on community collaboration, biodiversity conservation, and youth engagement, AAR Healthcare is scaling its efforts to align with Kenya’s national goal of achieving 10 per cent forest cover and addressing the adverse effects of deforestation, desertification, and climate change.
“As a healthcare provider, we deeply understand the vital connection between a healthy environment and the well-being of our communities,” AAR Healthcare General Manager Elizabeth Wasunna said.
“Healthier environments foster healthier lives, and our efforts through our tree planting initiatives, such as the One Tree for Every Patient campaign, are part of a tangible, scalable model that not only empowers communities today but will also benefit future generations.”

The initiative exemplifies AAR’s Healthcare’s direct action toward reversing environmental degradation.
Over the past year, the company has planted nearly 20,000 indigenous trees in schools and public spaces, ensuring high survival rates through strategic site selection and local partnerships.
The planting of an additional 24,000 seed balls marks a significant continuation of this effort, positioning AAR Healthcare at the forefront of Kenya’s fight against climate change.
This bold initiative was made possible through the support of key sponsors, including Standard Chartered Bank, AIK, IRIS Graphic, Dragon Fly, Archbuild, Harleys, Valentines Cake House, Lerba Lancet, Absa, Fredex, Bold Edge, Brand Beyond, Let’s go Party and Run beyond, who collaborated in sponsoring a Golf Charity Tournament to raise funds for the cause.
These partnerships have empowered AAR Healthcare to scale its reforestation efforts and deliver measurable impact across Kenya.

Beyond tree planting, AAR Healthcare’s CSI flagship program Trees for Health( T4H), emphasises environmental education and community engagement.
Through collaborations with schoolchildren and local institutions via the Employee Voluntary Program (EVP), AAR Healthcare promotes environmental stewardship among Kenya’s youth.
The company’s CSR platform, T4H, also delivers preventive health services to thousands of school-aged children nationwide.
In the past year, the flagship Mass School Deworming Programme reached 107,128 children across more than 100 schools, significantly improving health outcomes and reducing absenteeism among students.
