Relief for motorists as fuel prices drop in latest review

Super petrol, diesel and kerosene decrease by Sh2.00, Sh2.80 and Sh7.23 per litre.

Motorists will from midnight will enjoy a drop in fuel prices, this after the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced Sh2 drop for a litre of super petrol.

According to the regulator, super petrol, diesel and kerosene prices have decreased by Sh2.00 per litre, Sh2.80 per litre and Sh7.23 per litre respectively.

Motorists in Nairobi will buy a litre of super petrol at Sh110.87, diesel Sh101.65 and kerosene at Sh95.46.

 

Those in the coastal city of Mombasa will buy fuel much cheaper at Sh108.41 for a litre of super petrol, diesel Sh99.17 and kerosene at Sh92.99.

The regulator attributed the drop to decreased prices of the weighted average cost of imported refined petroleum products.

This month, global oil prices slumped on Russia- Saudi Arabia price war, meaning, fuel users in the country should expect a further drop in fuel prices in coming months as effects kick in.
