KCB RFC coach Curtis Olago is banking on the depth at his disposal to win the Enterprise Cup this season.

The bankers are without five key players, who are with the Kenya Under-20 and Shujaa national teams for international assignments.

However, the veteran tactician believes they have the quality to go all the way and win a sixth Enterprise Cup crown.

Olago's charges face Northern Suburbs in the quarter-final on Saturday in Ruaraka. “I am confident the boys are ready to win this quarterfinal encounter against a team we know very well.

"They have been sensational, we respect them and their quality but we want to demonstrate that we are a force to be reckoned with. We intend to win this Cup."

The Thika Road outfit is without Andy Cole Omolo and Michael Wanjala who are with the Kenya U-20 side at the ongoing Rugby Africa Barthes Cup in Zimbabwe.

Skipper Vincent Onyala, Samuel Asati and Elvis Olukusi have all joined Kenya Sevens for the preparations of the HSBC Challenger Series set for Munich, Germany next month.

Olago's charges lost the Kenya Cup crown to fierce rivals Kabras early this month in Kakamega, going down 29-5 in a lop-sided contest.

The tactician says they want to go all out and win the country's oldest domestic cup competition.

I am confident that despite the recent shortcomings, the squad will rise to the occasion and fight for our rightful place in the tournament,” added Olago.

He added: "It is disappointing that despite the efforts we put in this match, we still lost to an equally strong side. We will go back to the drawing board to evaluate what went wrong with a promise to come back stronger next season in the league," said Olago.

KCB RFC won the Enterprise Cup a record five times – 2004, 2007, 2015, 2016 and 2017), The bankers began their Enterprise Cup campaign with a 70-3 demolition of Catholic Monks in the round of 16 clash last weekend.

Other fixtures will see Nondies take on Mean Machine while Blak Blad face Quins. Holders Kabras have earned a walkover to the semifinals over Strathmore Leos.
