Red-hot Gor Mahia attacking midfielder Alpha Onyango has said he is thrilled to be part of the Harambee Stars team travelling to Morocco for the two international friendlies against Chad.

Onyango's comments came just before the team departed for the North African nation. He is part of head coach Benni McCarthy's final 23-man roster for the June 7 and June 10 friendlies.

"I am thrilled to have been called up to the national team once more. I'm excited to have the cut in the travelling squad because I've been out for a while now," Onyango said.

"We have done an excellent job preparing, and I feel prepared for the task at hand. We just need to do well in the two friendlies because that will give us a sense of how we are doing going into CHAN," he said. "We will make every effort to win the two friendly games," he declared.

He heads to Morocco buoyed by an impressive form that saw him burn a hole in Murang'a Seals' net in a hotly-contested  FKF Cup semifinal thriller at Dandora Stadium a fortnight ago.
