South Africa's Bafana Bafana beats Benin Republic 2-1 in the race to 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifies. 

According to Soccernet, the win makes Bafana Bafana leaders in the group C. 

The first goal came from former Brighton forward Percy Tau within the first two minutes played.

The second goal was shot by Khuliso Johnson Mudau minutes before the halftime. 

On the Benin side, striker Steve Mounié scored during the second half. 

South Africa will now face Rwanda on November 21, 2023. 

On Friday, Ivory Coast crushed Seychelles 9-0 in Abidjan. The first goal was scored at minute 20 by forward Sebastien Haller. 

Other goals were scored by Konate and Hamed Traore who scored two goals each.

Haller, Ibrahim Sangare, Simon Adingra, Seko Fofana and Jean-Philippe Krasso each scored one goal.
