St Anthony boys Kitale beats Dagoretti High School to win KSSA footabl games national final

St Anthony Boys Kitale on Saturday beat Dagoretti High School, Nairobi, 2-1 to win the 2023 Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) national football match final.

Aldrine Kibet scored the first goal for St. Anthony's Boys in the first half of the match held at a fully packed Bukhungu Stadium.

The Kitale-based school added its second goal through Kibet, yet again, at the tail end of the second half, 89th minute, sealing the much-needed victory.

The victory in the finals was a painful revenge of sorts since Dagoretti High School had beaten St Anthony in the group match 1-0.

Both schools will however represent Kenya in the East African Community football game.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, CS Ababu Namwamba and Education CS Ezekiel Machogu are among the dignitaries who were present in Bukhungu.

Governor Fernandes Barasa and his Trans Nzoia counterpart George Natembeya and Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi were also present.
