Eldas MP Aden Keynan now claims that the Jubilee party was dupped in the Azimio coalition agreement.
Speaking on Tuesday, Keynan said members of the party were not privy to the agreement that was entered into by the party's 'former leaders'.
He alleged that the con done by Azimio leader Raila Odinga was not far from what had previously happened to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, when they supported the Opposition chief.
"First of all we were not party to the arrangement that led to the formation of the coalition. It was done by leaders then, but I think we were duped as Jubilee," he said.
"Look at the structure of parliament. We were conned the same way Wetang'ula was conned, the same way Mudavadi was conned. History repeats itself."
The Eldas legislator noted that Jubilee was the second largest party in the Azimio coalition and they should have been given the positions of minority leadership in the National Assembly and the Senate.
He insisted that they are also no longer part of the coalition.
"We as Jubilee have decided to invoke the exit clause, we've given notice and therefore we are no longer part of Azimio."
The Jubilee party has two feuding factions over the leadership of the party.
One is led by EALA MP Kanini Kega where Keynan is the party chairman and nominated MP Sabina Chege the party leader.
The other is led by embattled Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, where retired President Uhuru Kenyatta remains the party leader.
The two sides have been fighting for the soul of the party, with an ongoing legal battle at the High Court.
