Murang’a Seal have a chance to move to the top of the Football kenya Federation National Super League when they face Mara Sugar at Awendo Green Stadium in Migori County on Sunday.

A win will see the on-form promotion-chasing Seal leapfrog leaders Shabana to the top of the table.

Shabana lead the log with 57 points while Seal are second with 54. Both teams have a goal difference of +32.

Shabana will not be in action until June 3, when they host Kibera Black Stars at Gusii Stadium.

However, Vincent Nyaberi’s Seal do not expect to find it easy since Francis Xavier’s Mara Sugar are also in the promotion mix.

The cane millers are fourth on the table with 43 points and will be seeking a positive result to narrow the gap on third-placed Migori Youth.

On Wednesday, Migori Youth’s playoff hopes suffered a dent after a 1-0 defeat away to Murang’a Seal at St Sebastian Park. The win ended Migori Youth’s five-match winning run.
