Nairobi City Stars top scorer Kelvin Etemesi is keen on improving his tally even as the Kenyan Premier League season heads for the finish line.
Etemesi is joint top on the Simba wa Nairobi scorers' chart with seven goals alongside fellow forward Samuel Kapen.
“I first thank God for getting me this far in my first season in the Kenyan topflight league. It is every attacker’s dream to score for their club. I feel good being among the top scorers in the league and I feel I can do better and score more goals before the season ends,” he said.
The former Kangemi All Stars striker has so far featured in 21 of 30 City Stars' league matches this season, clocking a total of 1,404 minutes.
Etemesi, who joined City Stars in November last year, scored six goals in five games – two against each of Mathare United, Posta Rangers and Vihiga Bullets in a three-week span.
He added a seventh in their 2-1 win over Kariobangi Sharks on matchday 26.
Simba wa Nairobi sit 15th on the log and face seventh-placed AFC Leopards on Saturday.
