Kisumu All-Starlets coach Juma Said has said the team is banking on mental toughness to sail to the semi-finals of the Football Kenya Federation Women's Cup.

Kisumu takes on Royal Starlets in the quarterfinals on Saturday at Nduru Complex as Kisumu eye its first finals since inception.

"The team is well prepared for the match. The four-day camp we've had in Nairobi has enabled us to correct our mistakes and shake off some injuries we initially had," Said said.

"Psychologically, the girls look relaxed and focused. We have to win at all costs. This is our chance to win a trophy," he added.

In other matches lined up, giant killers Kisped Queens have a date with high-flying Ulinzi Starlets.

The soldiers are the defending champions having won the inaugural competition in 2021 after beating Vihiga Queens 2-1 in the finals at Stima Club, Nairobi.
