Nairobi City Stars left-back Dennis Wanjala says there is more cohesion in the team than ever before.

“The team is a lot more cohesive than before and everyone is ready and confident to represent the club. That is key to our course,” he added.

Wanjala, who scored his debut goal for Nairobi City Stars in the 5-2 rout of Vihiga Bullets in Kasarani Annex on Sunday, is now rallying the rest of the lot to come out and make a difference as the league gets to the business end.

“I am pleased to have finally found the back of the net for City Stars. The goal is now my motivator to improve my performance in the upcoming games. I urge my teammates to step up their performance in the remaining games. We don’t want to make it easy for our upcoming opponents. Our points are not for the taking,” he added.

In the current season, Wanjala has featured in 14 games and has clocked 1,081 minutes. Besides his debut goal, he has provided two assists and a second assist.

At the same time, centre forward Dennis Oalo is of the opinion that Nairobi City Stars will have improved results going forward.

Oalo featured in the match against Vihiga Bullets as a second-half substitute and left with an assist after teeing up Samuel Kapen for the fifth and final goal of the game in the 87th minute.

“We had a good performance against Vihiga Bullets. We achieved that result because all the players gave more than 100 percent in terms of performance,” said the immediate former FC Talanta player.

“The team has now gelled very well and I can say that better results are on the way. The Simba wa Nairobi fraternity should know that we won’t disappoint them. We need their support now,” added Oalo.
