Kenya Women's Premier League title-chasing Gaspo Women will miss the services of Pauline Kathuruh when they take on Kangemi Ladies at the Gems Cambridge on Saturday.

The hawk-eyed goalkeeper is recuperating from an arm fracture she sustained in a league match against Ulinzi Starlets more than a month ago.

Gaspo chairman Edward Githua said Kathuruh will be out for at least two months. He however added that the team is well-stocked in the goalkeeping department as they keep alive their WPL title ambitions.

"Kathuruh will definitely be out for two to three months but we will monitor her progress carefully so that we don't rush her back," Githua said.

Information from Gaspo's social media page read: "We're delighted with Pauline's journey to recovery after surgery. She is responding well to thermotherapy and physical therapy procedures. All is going well according to plans."

Gaspo are second in the 12-team league with 25 points from 12 matches by virtue of an inferior goal difference.

Githua added: "I have confidence that the available goalkeepers have what it takes to help us win the league so that we can represent the country at the Cecafa club Champions League qualifiers."
