Commandos stay on course for return to second tier

Kwoba lauded the influence of the former midfielder Balala and thanked him for steadying the ship at the club

Former national super league outfit Kakamega High school are in a strong position to make it back to the second tier league after roping in former Kenya International Ramadhan Balala as the head coach.

Kakamega High School team chairman Isaac Kwobalauded the influence of the former midfielder who has steadied the ship at the club.

"We are right back on course to reclaim our spot in the National Super League. We want to support the technical bench and the team so that we attain our goal," he said. 

"Coach Balala is doing a commendable job and we believe he has the best philosophy for the club that will steer us back to the top level.

"We want to take each match at a time and I am urging the players to remain focused. We can only achieve our goal through hard work and team spirit," noted Kwoba.

He urged all former  Kakamega High School players and well-wishers to come to the support of the team also known as Green Commandos. he said he has a strong belief that they will one-time play in the top league.

He regretted the poaching of key players from the team by top clubs—a move he said was disrupting the smooth running of the club.

Green Commandos are placed in position two with one point below Mayanje Santos as the first leg of Division One Zone 'B' approaches the end.
