Musingu High School head coach Brendan Mwimamo has expressed his readiness for the return of secondary school games.

The former Kakamega High School coach, who delivered titles at Green Commandos has lauded the government for allowing the resumption of the games.

"It has been tough for us having gone a whole season without any sporting activities in our schools. This was becoming a major challenge to the talented player as well as the coaches.

"I, however, believe it was an opportunity to give us ample time to put the right structures in place. We believe this will put us in a good position to challenge for titles," said Mwimamo.

"In terms of experience, the players have gained a lot having participated in Football Kenya Federation-sanctioned leagues at branch level.

"I am very much aware that other teams have been doing the same and so we expect tough opposition where each team must be treated with the respect it deserves," noted Mwimamo.

The veteran tactician also singled out teams like Kakamega High, St. Peters Mumias and Chavakali High as some of the strong sides that could pose a big threat to his side.

"We are well prepared and well-positioned to challenge for titles this season. We want to bring back smiles to our fans," he added.

Mwimamo has bolstered his technical bench by roping in former Kenyan international Washington Muhanji as well former Mautuma School coach Teddy Asudzi as they seek to bounce back in a big way.
