The 2021/22 Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League season will start with a clash between champions Thika Queens and FKF Cup holders Ulinzi Starlets in the first-ever Super Cup match at Utalii grounds on November 7.

Ulinzi hope to get the better of their opponents after firing blanks in their two meetings last season. Coach Joseph Mwanza is optimistic his charges will turn the table on their rivals.

"The Super Cup will be full of thrills for sure and promises fireworks. We have two weeks to get our act together in order to avoid a repeat of what happened last season," Mwanza said.

"We lost six points and we cannot allow a third defeat in a row. We learnt from our mistakes and I am sure by the time we play Thika, my players will be highly motivated and ready to compete."

"It was the best decision by FKF to introduce the Women's Super Cup. It is an opportunity for us to bag another trophy which could set our season rolling."

Action will then shift to November 13 for the unified fixtures where three matches are on the cards in the 12-team league.

Thika will host Kayole Starlets at Thika Stadium while Wadadia will welcome newbies Bunyore Starlets at Mumias Sports Complex.

At Moi Stadium Kisumu, visitors Gaspo Women will be gunning for maximum points against Kisumu All Starlets.

A day later, former Champions Vihiga Queens go toe-to-toe with Nakuru Queens at Mumias Sports Complex. Last season Vihiga dropped points for the first time in a 2-2 draw against Nakuru.

Trans-Nzoia Falcons, who blew hot and cold last season take on Zetech Sparks. Sparks, under coach Benard Kitolo, have been tipped to challenge for the title after adding quality players to their ranks.

Kangemi Ladies could receive a baptism of fire should Ulinzi play in top gear at Ruaraka.
