Posta Rangers head coach Stanley Okumbi reckons their match against Kenyan Premier League debutants Vihiga Bullets may not be a walk in the park given he is yet to figure out their game plan.

Although the mailmen head into their second encounter of the season  the more fancied side after edging Kariobangi Sharks 2-1 in their opening fixture, Okumbi has asked his charges to approach the newbies cautiously.

“I don't know much about Vihiga Bullets because I haven't encountered them in a match before. I managed to obtain a footage of their match although it isn't very clear given it was taken during a rainy day,” said Okumbi.

“From the clip, it's quite difficult to figure out how they are arranging themselves on the pitch and the kind of formation they are employing,” he added.

Okumbi, who doubles up as the Kenya U-23 head coach, remained coy when asked to state if he had set any targets for his players this time round after wrapping up in the middle of the table in the preceding season.

“It's too early to set our objectives for the season. Obviously we shall be competing to win matches but I can't say we will be charging for the title or any other silverware,” said Okumbi.

He confirmed the arrival of Caleb Olilo from rivals AFC Leopards, saying the midfielder was likely to make his debut against Bullets on Friday.

Olilo will join the talent-rich squad that already boasts of former Tusker luminaries Brian Marita and Chrispinus Onyango both of whom were on target in Posta's mauling of Sharks.

However, Okumbi holds the view that there is still some more room for new acquisitions.

“We managed to acquire some quality players in the ongoing transfer market but I think we still needed to do more given we have some weak areas that need to be strengthened,” said Okumbi.

“We paraded some of our new signings in our opening encounter of the season against Kariobangi Sharks and they proved their worth in the match,” added Okumbi.

Posta's encounter will be preceded by the match between Bidco United and Bandari. Nzoia Sugar will host Sofapaka at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma on the same day.

KCB will look to bounce back from their 2-1 loss to Gor Mahia in their opening match when they square it off with AFC Leopards at Thika Stadium on Saturday.

Mathare United host Ulinzi Stars at the same venue, later in the day. Law enforcers, Kenya Police will settle scores with Nairobi City Stars at Moi Stadium, Kasarani in another match.

On Sunday, Wazito host Kakamega Homeboyz at Utalii grounds in the only affair of the day. Matches pitting Gor Mahia against Kariobangi Sharks and Tusker against Talanta have been postponed given both the brewers and K'Ogalo have continental assignments over the weekend.
