Former Bumula MP Moses Mwambu Mabonga has landed a job in President Ruto’s government.

Mabonga will serve as the Chairman of the Insurance Regulatory Authority for three years.

In the gazette notice NO. 1396, The Insurance Act (Cap) Insurance regulatory authority (IRA) appointment; In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3B (1)(a) of the Insurance Act, as read together with section 51(1) of the interpretation and general provisions Act, I, William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-chief of the Defense Forces, appoint- Moses Wekesa Mwambu Mabonga to be the chairperson of the Insurance Regulatory Authority, for three years effective February 10.

The President also revoked the appointment of Mohammed Amin Sheikh.

He served as Bumula MP for one term (2013-2017).

He said that his political ambition has not ended.
